I don't actually know how this shot came out as cool as it did. I mean, I know what the red is (it's actually a little apple-shaped and apple-colored bird house), but this shot has a cosmic, sweeping detail that I don't remember being there when, y'know, I knelt in the soggy grass to get the shot.

I genuinely confused some spiders yesterday. I don't think I'm well-liked in the spider community, actually.

See, wolf spiders have taken over our fence at every post. Webs everywhere. And, come morning, these webs end up covered in rain leftovers and dew. So, there I am, above and beneath their homes-slash-food-traps snapping pictures like an inept tourist.

I'm under the web, I'm over the web, I'm sticking it in the gap between fences to see if I can get a reaction shot and a quote from the spiders. It must be very annoying for them.

But, one's gotta go what one's gotta go.

I noticed that the satellite tie-ins to the major crossovers of the summer that came out last week are better than the actual main storyline. Disagree with me if you must, but take a look for some of what I mean...

( This week’s DC’s Final Crisis and Marvel’s Secret Invasion Recap )
Anyway, what did we learn this week? Well, we learned that whenever Wolverine shows up, shoot first and ask questions later. If it’s really him, he’ll heal anyway. Same logic applies to Jean Grey (she comes back from the dead alla time)… but maybe not Beast. We found out that the Martian Manhunter was good enough to multitask while he bought the farm. We also learned that Talia Al Ghul is the only member of the society who fights her battles with her feminine wiles. We discovered that Yo-Yo Rodriguez is the hottest Latina Ambulance you’ll ever see. And finally, we learned that the Hood and his cronies hate those damned dirty Skrulls as much as the rest of us do. I hope there’s just a villains vs. Skrulls one shot coming out of that. That’d be awesome. Anyway, that’s all for this week, books come out today, so it shouldn’t be long before the next… WORST…BLOG…EVER!
